Christian Counseling for Teens & Children

Christian Counseling for Teens & Children in Lubbock

A safe, faith-filled space where kids and teenagers can process what they are feeling and discover who God says they are.

  • In person or online
  • HSA accepted, sliding scale

Kids and teenagers feel everything their family feels, and they often lack the words to explain it. A child may act out at school. A teenager may withdraw, struggle with anxiety, or wrestle with questions about who they are. I have spent years earning the trust of young people in Lubbock and helping them see themselves the way God does. Parents regularly tell me they notice changes in their child's mood and confidence within the first few sessions. Because family patterns shape a child's world, I often recommend family and individual counseling for parents alongside their child's sessions.

My sessions with children are built around safety and trust. I move at the child's pace, use language they understand, and never pressure a young client to share more than they are ready to. Prayer and simple biblical truths are woven in naturally, so kids learn early that God is close and that He cares about what hurts.

Teenagers get a different kind of space. Many teens in Lubbock are juggling school pressure, social media, sports, and questions of identity all at once. I give them a place to be honest without judgment. I help them separate the lies they have absorbed from the truth of who they are in Christ, and I teach practical tools for handling fear, anger, and stress.

Parents are my partners in the process. I keep you informed about progress while protecting the trust your child has placed in me. I will also help you understand what your child needs at home so that healing continues between sessions. When grief and loss or a traumatic event is part of the picture, I adjust our sessions with extra care.

I offer both in-person and online sessions, which is helpful for busy families and for teens who feel more comfortable talking from home. My new client intake questions for parents give me a picture of what your child is facing before our first visit. Parents can request an appointment for their child at any time.

LUBBOCK YOUTH & FAMILIES

Why Lubbock Kids Need a Safe Place to Talk

Growing up in Lubbock means growing up in a community that values faith, school spirit, and family. Friday night football, church youth groups, and Texas Tech game days are part of the rhythm of life here. Yet kids in this city face the same anxiety, bullying, and identity pressure that young people face everywhere, often with less room to admit it. I have worked with elementary students, middle schoolers, and high schoolers from across Lubbock and the surrounding South Plains towns. My office in south Lubbock is quiet and welcoming, designed to help a nervous child settle in. Families outside the city connect with me through secure online sessions so distance never keeps a child from getting help.

Session Fees

“If want to experience breakthrough in your walk with Jesus or in your day to day life- GO SEE Cydnee! I have been blessed to be apart of the fruits of her labor and toiling of hard ground! I have experienced so much inner healing/deliverance from things I had no idea, I was still carrying! It has been a ripple effect not only in my life, but the lives of my children and also in some of my dearest friends! Inner healing/deliverance isn't always easy or fun- but working with Cydnee and the way she handles things with so much GRACE, LOVE, and Authority has made my healing a lot easier to walk through! She always points things back to Jesus and truly has helped me learn/experience the Love of Jesus! She is a safe place not only for myself but for my teenager as well, that has been going to see her (2 times and already I see the fruits)! Thank you Cydnee for being the hands and feet of Jesus and all that you do! 10/10 Recommend Cydnee!”
